Full IPL 2026 Schedule in IST
The tables below preserve the complete chronological fixture list rather than removing matches once they have been played. That makes the page useful both during the tournament and as a permanent season archive.
Each fixture on the live website should connect to three match-specific destinations:
- A preview containing team news, likely line-ups, form and venue information
- A live score centre activated when the match begins
- A post-match report containing the result, scorecard and analysis
Inactive live-score or report buttons should remain visibly disabled. They should not lead to generic category pages, empty URLs or unrelated promotional content.

The second phase comprised 50 league matches between April 13 and May 24. The revised Match 66 placed the CSK–GT return fixture in Ahmedabad, completing the venue swap announced for the two meetings between those teams.
IPL 2026 Playoffs Schedule and Results
The BCCI confirmed three playoff venues. Qualifier 1 was played at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala. The Eliminator and Qualifier 2 took place at the New International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh, while Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosted the Final.
| Stage | Date | Fixture | Venue | Outcome |
| Qualifier 1 | May 26, 2026 | Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Gujarat Titans | Dharamshala | RCB advanced to the Final |
| Eliminator | May 27, 2026 | Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals | New Chandigarh | RR advanced to Qualifier 2 |
| Qualifier 2 | May 29, 2026 | Gujarat Titans vs Rajasthan Royals | New Chandigarh | GT advanced to the Final |
| Final | May 31, 2026 | Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Gujarat Titans | Ahmedabad | RCB won by five wickets |
The Final was played on May 31 at Narendra Modi Stadium. Gujarat Titans made 155 for eight before Royal Challengers Bengaluru completed the chase at 161 for five in 18 overs, winning by five wickets.
How the IPL Playoff System Works
Finishing in the top two provides a valuable second opportunity. The first- and second-placed teams meet in Qualifier 1, with the winner advancing directly to the Final.
The teams in third and fourth play the Eliminator. Its loser leaves the tournament immediately, while its winner proceeds to Qualifier 2.
Qualifier 2 then brings together the loser of Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator. The victorious team takes the second place in the Final.
That structure means the top two league teams are not eliminated after one playoff defeat. Teams finishing third or fourth must win two consecutive knockout matches simply to reach the championship game.
IPL Schedule Today
Today’s IPL status: No IPL 2026 match is scheduled today.
The 2026 tournament ended with the Final on May 31. A reliable schedule page should state that clearly instead of continuing to display the last fixture as though it were still upcoming.
During an active season, the “IPL schedule today” module should use the current date in IST rather than the visitor’s browser date. This matters for readers in regions where the calendar day changes before or after it does in India.
A useful live module should display:
- Teams playing today
- Match number
- Venue and city
- Toss time
- First-ball time
- Match status
- Preview link before the match
- Live-score link during play
- Report link after completion
On a day without a match, display the next scheduled fixture. Once the season finishes, replace that message with a clear season-complete notice.
Do not leave a stale match card online merely because the website has not received fresh score data. A plainly written “No IPL match scheduled today” message is more useful than incorrect information.
Why Every IPL Match Time Is Displayed in IST
Indian Standard Time is UTC+5:30 and does not change for daylight saving. It is the natural default for the IPL because the competition is staged in India and its official fixture announcements use local Indian timings.
The first-ball time is not the same as the toss time. In a standard IPL fixture, the toss normally occurs approximately 30 minutes before the scheduled start. A 7:30 PM fixture will therefore generally have a 7:00 PM toss, while a 3:30 PM match will generally have a 3:00 PM toss.
The schedule table should label these fields separately:
| Schedule field | Example |
| Toss | 7:00 PM IST |
| First ball | 7:30 PM IST |
| Match status | Upcoming, Live, Completed, Abandoned or No Result |
| Date basis | Current calendar date in IST |
Visitors outside India may be offered a timezone-conversion button, but the IST time should remain visible. Browser-based conversion can be convenient, yet readers should always have access to the unaltered official time in case device timezone settings are incorrect.
IPL Team-Wise Schedule Filters
A team filter turns a long 70-match table into a practical fixture tool. Supporters should be able to select one franchise and immediately view its matches in chronological order.
The available IPL 2026 team filters are:
| Code | Team |
| CSK | Chennai Super Kings |
| DC | Delhi Capitals |
| GT | Gujarat Titans |
| KKR | Kolkata Knight Riders |
| LSG | Lucknow Super Giants |
| MI | Mumbai Indians |
| PBKS | Punjab Kings |
| RR | Rajasthan Royals |
| RCB | Royal Challengers Bengaluru |
| SRH | Sunrisers Hyderabad |
A filtered team schedule should retain the following information:
- Match number
- Date and day
- Opponent
- Home or away status
- Venue
- Toss and match time
- Result or current status
- Links to preview, live score and report
Do not create ten thin pages by simply swapping the team name in identical text. A dedicated franchise schedule page should contain genuine team-specific value, such as travel patterns, home venues, consecutive fixtures, results and links to original coverage.
Useful permanent URLs could include:
/ipl-schedule/chennai-super-kings/
/ipl-schedule/mumbai-indians/
/ipl-schedule/royal-challengers-bengaluru/
/ipl-schedule/kolkata-knight-riders/
The main IPL schedule page should remain the canonical master list. Individual team pages can be indexable when they contain substantial team-specific information rather than a copied subset of the same table.
IPL Venue-Wise Schedule
The 2026 league stage used fixtures in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati, New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Raipur and Dharamshala. The playoffs remained within Dharamshala, New Chandigarh and Ahmedabad.
| City | Main venue label |
| Ahmedabad | Narendra Modi Stadium |
| Bengaluru | M. Chinnaswamy Stadium |
| Chennai | M. A. Chidambaram Stadium |
| Delhi | Arun Jaitley Stadium |
| Dharamshala | HPCA Stadium |
| Guwahati | ACA Cricket Stadium, Barsapara |
| Hyderabad | Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium |
| Jaipur | Sawai Mansingh Stadium |
| Kolkata | Eden Gardens |
| Lucknow | Ekana Cricket Stadium |
| Mumbai | Wankhede Stadium |
| New Chandigarh | New International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur |
| Raipur | International cricket stadium in Nava Raipur |
Venue filters are particularly useful for spectators planning travel. Selecting a city should show every match there, including afternoon and evening start times.
Venue pages can also answer practical questions without becoming overlong:
- Which IPL team uses the venue as a home ground?
- How many 2026 matches were staged there?
- Is the fixture afternoon or evening?
- Where should supporters check official ticket information?
- Has a match at that venue been moved?
- Which preview and report pages are connected to the fixture?
Avoid presenting estimated capacities, entry gates or transport arrangements as permanent facts. Stadium configurations, access restrictions and local traffic plans may change from one match to another.
Official IPL 2026 Reschedule Log
A trustworthy IPL schedule should never silently replace a fixture after it changes. Readers who saved the original date deserve to see what moved, when it moved and which official announcement confirmed it.
GT vs CSK Venue Swap
On April 13, 2026, the BCCI announced a revision affecting the two league matches between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. The change was required because municipal corporation elections were scheduled in Ahmedabad and other parts of Gujarat on April 26.
| Match | Original fixture | Revised fixture | Official reason |
| Match 37 | April 26, 3:30 PM IST — GT vs CSK in Ahmedabad | April 26, 3:30 PM IST — CSK vs GT in Chennai | Municipal corporation elections in Gujarat |
| Match 66 | May 21, 7:30 PM IST — CSK vs GT in Chennai | May 21, 7:30 PM IST — GT vs CSK in Ahmedabad | Corresponding venue swap |
The dates and start times remained in place. The venues and home designations were exchanged, allowing Chennai to host the April 26 fixture and Ahmedabad to host the May 21 return match.
IPL 2026 Final Venue Change
Bengaluru was originally designated to host the 2026 Final. When the BCCI announced the playoff schedule on May 6, it confirmed that the championship match had been reassigned to Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad because of operational and logistical considerations involving local requirements.
| Event | Original venue | Revised venue | Date |
| IPL 2026 Final | Bengaluru | Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad | May 31, 2026 |
The revised Final venue should be preserved in the schedule log even after the event has concluded. Removing the original information would make it difficult for readers to understand why older calendar entries, screenshots or announcements referred to Bengaluru.
Rules for Publishing Future Schedule Changes
A match should enter the reschedule log only after confirmation from one of the following:
- The BCCI
- The official IPL website
- An official IPL or BCCI media advisory
- A directly affected franchise
- A stadium or local authority statement that is subsequently confirmed by the organiser
Social-media rumours, unsourced television claims and speculative weather posts should not be treated as confirmed changes.
If a report says a match “could move” or “may be reviewed,” retain the existing official fixture and add no reschedule entry. Once a change is confirmed, update the main schedule and preserve the previous date, time or venue in the log.
IPL 2026 Results and Season Archive
A schedule page should not become less useful after a match finishes. Completed fixtures should remain in their original chronological positions, with their status changing from “Upcoming” to “Completed.”
A compact result row can display:
Winner | Margin | Scorecard | Match report
Match 12 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings ended without a result after persistent rain affected play at Eden Gardens. It should therefore be marked “No Result,” not recorded as a win, loss or postponed fixture.
Match 70 concluded the league stage on May 24, with Delhi Capitals defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 40 runs at Eden Gardens. Rajasthan Royals’ victory over Mumbai Indians earlier that day secured the final playoff position.
The archived page should now retain the following season status:
IPL 2026 status: Season complete
Do not automatically replace the 2026 page with a 2027 fixture table. The following structure protects historical search value and prevents confusion:
/ipl-schedule/ Current season hub
/ipl-schedule/2026/ Permanent 2026 archive
/ipl-schedule/2025/ Permanent 2025 archive
When the next schedule is officially announced, the current hub may be updated to 2027 while the complete 2026 content moves to its dated archive.
Historical schedule pages should remain indexable when they contain complete fixtures, results and original reschedule records.
Calendar Export for Google Calendar, Apple Calendar and Outlook
A calendar export can save supporters from repeatedly checking the full IPL fixture table. The most useful implementation lets readers export:
- The complete IPL schedule
- One team’s fixtures
- Matches at one venue
- Only playoff matches
- Only upcoming matches
Each calendar entry should include:
- Fixture name
- Match number
- Confirmed start time
- IST timezone information
- Venue
- City
- Preview URL
- A note stating that fixtures may change
Use a valid .ics calendar file generated by your own website. Do not require users to install a browser extension, configuration profile, certificate or unknown mobile application merely to add IPL dates to a calendar.
Important Limitation of Static Calendar Files
A calendar file downloaded once may not automatically change when a fixture is rescheduled. Users who imported the original GT vs CSK dates, for example, could have retained the old Ahmedabad and Chennai venue assignments unless the calendar used a genuinely subscribed feed with stable event identifiers.
Place a visible notice beside the export button:
Downloaded calendar files may not update automatically after a fixture change. Check this page close to matchday or subscribe to the updating calendar feed where available.
For a subscribed feed, retain the same unique event identifier when updating a match. Creating a completely new event can leave both the original and revised fixture in the user’s calendar.
Match Previews, Live Scores and Reports
Every fixture row should connect to a clear content journey.
Before the Match
The preview link should open a page dedicated to that fixture, not the general IPL news category. A useful preview can contain:
- Confirmed match date and start time
- Venue
- Team news
- Availability and injury updates
- Likely playing combinations
- Recent form
- Head-to-head context
- Pitch and weather notes
- Links back to the full schedule
Suggested URL:
/ipl-match-preview/rcb-vs-srh-2026/
During the Match
The live-score link should activate only when coverage is available. Do not disguise a promotional landing page as a live score.
Suggested URL:
/live-cricket-score/rcb-vs-srh-ipl-2026/
The schedule row can change status automatically:
Upcoming → Toss → Live → Innings Break → Completed
When a match is abandoned or ends without a result, use the correct status rather than leaving it marked “Live.”
After the Match
Once the result is confirmed, the report link should replace the inactive placeholder. The report should contain the score, margin, turning points and links to the scorecard.
Suggested URL:
/cricket-match-report/rcb-vs-srh-ipl-2026/
The three-page structure prevents the schedule itself from becoming overloaded with squad speculation, ball-by-ball commentary and lengthy match analysis.
Official Streaming and Digital-Safety Notice
The official first-phase fixture graphic identified Star Sports as the official broadcaster and JioHotstar as the official digital streaming partner for the season. Broadcast arrangements can be territory-specific, so readers outside India should check an authorised local provider.
This page should never publish:
- Pirated “watch free” streams
- Unlicensed restreaming websites
- Links hidden behind aggressive pop-ups
- Unofficial streaming APKs
- Files hosted on anonymous download services
- Instructions for bypassing subscriptions or regional restrictions
Fraudulent cricket-streaming pages often imitate the branding of recognised broadcasters. Some attempt to collect card information, install browser notifications or persuade users to download applications from outside an official app store.
Before installing a streaming application:
- Confirm that the broadcaster has officially announced it.
- Use its verified Google Play Store or Apple App Store listing.
- Review the developer name.
- Check whether requested permissions are relevant to video playback.
- Reject apps that ask for unnecessary contact, SMS or device-administration access.
- Avoid modified APKs promising free premium access.
The schedule should link only to official announcements or your own preview, score and report pages.
IPL Ticket Safety
Ticket availability varies by franchise, venue and sales phase. Direct readers to the official IPL website, the relevant franchise or the ticketing partner publicly identified for that match.
Do not create a generic “Buy IPL tickets” button that redirects to an unrelated affiliate, resale marketplace or lead-generation form.
Before paying, supporters should verify:
- The seller named by the franchise
- The fixture and venue
- The stand or seating category
- The final price and booking fees
- Delivery or digital-ticket method
- Refund rules for abandoned or moved matches
- Whether the ticket can be transferred
A screenshot, social-media message or payment request is not proof that a seller controls a genuine seat. Avoid direct bank transfers to unknown individuals, especially when the seller claims that only a few minutes remain.
If a match changes venue, do not assume that an existing ticket remains valid. Publish the official ticketing guidance provided for that specific fixture rather than inventing a universal refund policy.
Mobile and Accessibility Requirements
A 70-match table is difficult to use on a narrow mobile screen. Simply shrinking the desktop table produces tiny text and forces users to drag sideways through multiple columns.
A better mobile design converts each row into a fixture card containing:
Match number
Date
Teams
Time
Venue
Status
Preview | Live | Report
Team and venue filters should remain reachable above the fixture list. Keep the selected filter visible when the reader returns from a match preview.
Accessibility Checklist
- Use real table headings for desktop tables.
- Associate cells with their correct column headers.
- Ensure filters can be used with a keyboard.
- Provide visible focus states.
- Do not communicate “Live,” “Rescheduled” or “Completed” through colour alone.
- Add text labels beside status colours.
- Maintain readable contrast.
- Allow text enlargement without hiding fixture details.
- Give icons meaningful accessible labels.
- Avoid auto-refresh behaviour that repeatedly moves keyboard focus.
- Announce score updates appropriately without overwhelming screen readers.
Buttons should use descriptive labels such as “RCB vs SRH match report” rather than ten identical links labelled “Read more.”
Accuracy and Corrections Policy
Schedule pages lose trust quickly when dates are altered without explanation. Every published change should update both the fixture row and the visible reschedule log.
Corrections should follow a simple record:
| Field | Information |
| Correction date | Date and time in IST |
| Match affected | Match number and teams |
| Previous information | Incorrect or superseded detail |
| Correct information | Verified replacement |
| Source | Official announcement |
| Editor | Editorial team member who approved the change |
A spelling correction does not need a prominent public notice. A changed date, time, venue, team or result does.
Readers should be offered a contact route for reporting:
- Incorrect dates
- Wrong venues
- Broken preview links
- Live-score links that do not activate
- Missing results
- Unlogged fixture changes
- Calendar files containing old information
The page is an independent reference and should not imply that it is operated by the BCCI, IPL or an IPL franchise.

The current fixture row should be updated while the original date, time or venue remains visible in the reschedule log. Calendar users should recheck saved events because a static export may not update automatically.
Does knowing the IPL schedule guarantee success in fantasy sports or betting?
No. A schedule only confirms when and where a match is due to be played. It cannot guarantee the outcome of a fantasy contest, prediction or wager.
Recommended Internal Links
Link the IPL schedule naturally to useful supporting pages rather than adding unrelated keyword anchors.

Every preview should link back to the schedule. Every completed result should link to its report. Team news should link to the affected fixture when the connection is genuinely useful.
Avoid placing multiple keyword-heavy links to the same destination in every schedule row.
Final IPL 2026 Schedule Summary
The IPL 2026 schedule began on March 28 in Bengaluru, completed its 70-match league stage on May 24 and moved into four playoff fixtures between May 26 and May 31. The competition concluded in Ahmedabad, where Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by five wickets in the Final.
The season also produced two changes that should remain permanently recorded: the Chennai–Ahmedabad venue swap for the CSK and GT league fixtures, and the reassignment of the Final from Bengaluru to Ahmedabad. Both changes were officially announced rather than inferred from rumours.
This page should remain available as the complete IPL 2026 fixture archive. When a new season begins, publish the next officially confirmed schedule without deleting the dates, results, venue history and reschedule records that make the 2026 page valuable.
