Ghost season 2 has a late 2021 release date

With the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) still in effect, many people thought there would be a long wait for Power Book II: Ghost Season 2. But it looks like we won’t have to wait that long after all.

The show last took place in January 2021, ending with the shocking murder of Professor Jabari Reynolds. While an exact release date for the next season is not yet known, a new report confirms that the show will return to Starz at least in 2021.

Season 2 of “Power Book II: Ghost” is on its way

On July 8, Entertainment Weekly announced that the second season would arrive “later this year.” While it was previously reported that the show would likely return in 2021, it started to look shaky after Power Creator and showrunner Courtney Kemp said she was not “authorized” to say when the series might return.

Now it looks like the series is in its final stages of production, as Michael Rainey Jr. told the media outlet that the team had finished filming “halfway.”

Today was the first day of episode 6, so we’re a bit past the midpoint, ”said the actor, who plays Tariq St. Patrick on the series. “But the shoot was great, we have a lot of fun. History only grows and grows, gets deeper and deeper.

Next season, Tariq will face several “struggles”

Tariq believed he had everything under control after killing Jabari, but he might have left overwhelming evidence. “Season two I can’t say anything, but I’ll say this: Anyone who finds Jabari’s computer will have a lot of information,” actor Justin McManus (Jabari Reynolds) said in a previous Instagram Live.

Kemp also told Entertainment Weekly that the murder would generate a “big response” on campus.

“Where we had started an encroachment of [Tariq’s] drug life in her school life with the incidents that took place in episode 8 with the bombing of her life and body in the pool, now her whole drug life crashed into her campus life of a real way, ”she continued. “And Tariq really feels like he’s walking around like a ticking time bomb. His relationships are going to get more complicated, and while all of this is happening, he still has a love life. “

Tariq will also begin to come to terms with the fact that he really looks like his father as his ties to the Tejada deepen. “It was one of his fights in Season 1, accepting the fact that he’s like his father,” Rainey noted to Entertainment Weekly. “At the start of Season 2, he’s still trying to find a way to accept it. He doesn’t want to, but it’s inevitable, it’s in his blood. It is its nature. It’s hard for him, but it’s coming true.
